Gaze the body lower its
wreckage like a ship lost at sea
Feel the heart, gaunt as
a graveyard of bones
Sting the teardrops trailing
down the face like dying stars
Spirit bruising and swelling by the ribs
My dear depressed darling,
My dear sad child,
Let your anger save you
Let your rage redeem
Even if I am alone, I will
bring myself back from the brink
I will believe that
broken doesn't have to break
And in the shadow of the
splintering sun, I will
nurse the light, injury gleaming
